. Ruben and Tomm are gonna DJ for us, and I’m also going to do a set of my singer songwriter stuff, cause I wanna start doing that some more. Plus there’s gonna be a big 2 hour jaaaaammm after that – so If you are a friend AND a musician and you are gonna come please hit me up, myself and J Lloyd are gonna be dialing in the this section of the show. IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING! RadHaus Studios will be celebrating our grand opening with an all-day open house. Come on by for snacks, refreshments (including beer, because Highland), music and more! We are also going to have an open jam sesh at the Studio Grand Opening!
Nobody’s Darling String Band is a group of five ladies who are seasoned Old Time musicians, that play kick butt Mountain Music every Saturday from 4 to 6 PM at Jack of the Wood. A fiddle, guitars, standup bass and banjo uke round out this engaging and energetic group, playing in the traditional style of Appalachian roots music.
Jack Of The Wood is still a downtown hot spot for food, brews and drink since 1997 and founders Joan and Joe Eckert who still own it, have maintained the original lively English and Irish vibe. The old-time mountain and Irish music jams continue, including a hot bluegrass jam Thursdays and brunch every Sunday. Asheville based Robert Thomas Band is a tightly-knit, multi-genre, keyboard/guitar-infused ensemble, weaving a musical tapestry of jazz, prog rock, Celtic, and New Age styles, inspired by the music of Steely Dan, Pat Metheny, and Kansas.
